Cycling on the Banjšice and Trnovo plateau
The purpose of the operation isn’t only to establish a sustainable development partnership in cycling tourism between the organizations which work in the area of the Banjšice and Trnovo Plateau but also to improve the tourist offer by preparing a collective cycling tourism product for the whole Plateau.
Objectives
- Establishment of a trans-sectoral development partnership on the Bajšice and Trnovo Plateau, consisting of different organizations/participants, who work in tourism.
- Formation of a joint cycling tourism product on the Banjšice and Trnovo Plateau.
- Development of a new marketing approach for expanding the recognisability of the Bajšice and Trnovo Plateau in cycling tourism.
Activities
- Identification of the cycling routes and the existing tourist offer.
- Preparation of a joint product of cycling tourism.
- Preparation of a cycling map with information on the local providers, natural and cultural heritage on the Banjšice and Trnovo Plateau.
- Preparation of a web application “Planota Biking”.
- Preparation of a unified graphic design for the cycling product.
- Purchase of electric bikes.
Results
- Establishment of a better collaboration between the tourism providers on the Bajšice and Trnovo Plateau.
- Formation of a joint cycling tourism product on the Banjšice and Trnovo Plateau area.
- Preparation of a marketing strategy for expanding the recognisability of the Banjšice and Trnovo Plateau in cycling tourism.
